After a quick rise to fame playing the ethnic orphan child adopted by that quirky biracial couple on the hit show "Ain’t That Sweet", Nina fell out of the spotlight only to find herself in a treacherous battle with addiction to V-Cafe's Cheese Steaks, and of course, creating art. A graduate from the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Nina is currently the Lead Art Instructor for ArtReach at the Arc of San Francisco - a unique arts academy environment where adults with developmental disabilities can pursue art as a means of personal expression and to develop new skills.
As a mixed media artist, her latest collections, “LIFE & lasers” and “Indigenous Animals of the Tragically Hip Mission District" attempt to find the inherent beauty in the irony of life.
When not painting, sketching, sculpting or taking pictures of the world through her rosy colored glasses, Nina enjoys playing with Lego's, sipping Jameson, and quietly obsessing over Star Trek. Nina’s work can be enjoyed and pondered in venues throughout San Francisco
